I have being doing some research on CSS3 and its benefits and have compiled a small cheat sheet based on the info found on CSS3.info

it is a quick preview of some of the effects you can now achieve using CSS some examples are rounded corners purely in CSS3 no images required

Box Shadows, and News Paper column effect. i have attached file to this post so you can experiment with it.

3D Multimedia- Business

3D in Multimedia is a trend that existed in the 1980′s with magazines such as dinasours magazine using sterograms. Sterograms were found in 1861 and thus is a very old technology making a revival.

a number of popular examples would be movies such as avatar , alice in wonderland now avaibale in 3D. How ever there are some websites taking webdesign to the next dimension an example of this can be found at alien abduction lamps website.

This website is currently using 3D to a good effect for E-Commerce in order to view in 3D it will require the correct lenses - red and green . Which were given away free with a webdesign publication.

Future of the Internet and Webdesign HTML5

HTML5 is currently being developed to be the latest incarnation of HTML it will bring with it some massive changes such as and tags . HTML5 will be suited more towards web applications than HTML4 . The editors behind HTML5 are David Hyatt and Ian Hickson .

Webdesign and iPhone

Recentally while i was doing a web search i came across phonegap which is a frame work that allows users create an iPhone application using HTML and JavaScript instead of the native i Phone development language objective c this framework effectively reduces the effort required to create an i Phone application and caters heavily towards web designers who may not have had much experience with objective c .

this project is opensource and free and will thankfully remain this way i have provided a link below which i hope will be usefull.

In 1963 Ivan Sutherland wrote the program Sketchpad as part of his thesis , this program could be seen as an ancestor of the modern day CAD or Computer aided design programs popular
with architects and other technical graphic designers .Sketchpad was the first computer program to have a full GUI or Graphical User Interface as at that time computers ran using command line programs
rather than ones with GUI, The use of GUI’s have made programs both more aesthetically pleasing as well as easier to use. Sketchpad utilized the lightpen as its input device – similar to a light gun found in arcades.

The entertainment industry have made extensive use of multimedia technology which can be seen through cut scenes in games and even interactive movies
such as SurviveTheOutbreak which is a movie that allows the end user to choose the outcome based on their
own choices – The movie it self is quite short however does have a replay value as you will want to try different options.

Movies of this type are made possible through use of Flash which is the industry standard for web videos and games. This combination of the two will
become more popular throughout the internet .

Multimedia appeals to more than one of our senses and is often used in Education and elearning software such as the example below
